This full sized model comes with 1250 watts of power inside a 1-3/5-cubic-foot capacity, which allows the unit to cook or reheat just about anything that you can think of. Even better is the 15-inch turntable that comes with this full sized microwave oven. The full 15-inch turntable easily allows full sized dinner plates to be used when reheating food, but also accommodates bigger cooking containers with ease.
Pros:
- One-Touch Sensor Cooking – One of the best selling features of this microwave oven is the one-touch sensor cooking feature. This is a great feature because all I have to do is push a button and the microwave takes care of all the rest. However, the one-touch sensor cooking doesn’t work on everything, but works great on baked potatoes and TV dinners, along with frozen vegetables. The one-touch sensor automatically adjusts the cooking time and temperature based on the button that you push and how many quantities you have selected.
- Doesn’t use high cooking temperatures – One problem I have faced with microwaves is that they tend to overcook food, which there is nothing worse than rubbery chicken. This microwave never overcooks anything because it doesn’t cook at a high temperature nor does it deliver a constant stream of heating power. This model emits a pulsing heat at a low power to help keep the microwave at a constant temperature, which ensures food is not overcooked.
- Step-by-step cooking instructions – One thing that I find unique with this microwave is that it scrolls step-by-step cooking instructions across the digital display. I find this to be helpful for people who are just starting out in microwave cooking, but also in cooking in general. Something else that is interesting is that the instructions are scrolled across in three languages rather than just one. Users have their pick of French, English, and Spanish, but they can also turn this feature off.
- Inverter Turbo Defrost – One problem I have faced with my microwaves is that the defrost option always ends up cooking the meat before it finishes defrosting the meat. This model comes with the Inverter Turbo Defrost that aids in ensuring that all food is thoroughly defrosted without cooking the meat or vegetables.
Cons:
- Takes up quite a bit of room – The only problem with this microwave is that it takes up more counter space than a compact microwave does. For me this isn’t a problem because I have a rather large kitchen, but for somebody with a smaller kitchen they need to be prepared for that. However, with this microwave chances are people will get rid of other bulky kitchen appliances because of how useful this unit can be.
One thing that I do recommend after purchasing the Panasonic NN-H765BF is to read through the owner’s manual a few times. I read through it once before using the machine and went back to look at it a second time and realized just how much stuff I missed. One nice thing about this reasonably priced microwave is the demo mode because it allows users to see everything that the microwave can do without having to cook anything in the process.
